PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Bands of heavy rain and strong winds continue through this evening, then temperatures plunge tonight.



WEDNESDAY: Steady rain and gusty winds continue through the evening rush. Rain departs before midnight as temperatures drop significantly overnight.



The bands of heavy rain and the strongest wind arrive late this morning and through the afternoon, then temps plunge tonight.


Here is the complete overview:


-Heaviest rain through this evening


-Rainfall totals of 1.5" to 3"


-Evening commute could be plagued by ponding on roads and any storm drains blocked by leaves


-Wind Gusts of 30-40 mph inland with 40-50 mph SE and along the coast (Wind Advisory for the coastal locations)





THURSDAY: Much cooler! We'll have gusty westerly winds with gusts up to 35mph. This will keep wind chills below freezing all day, high 40.



FRIDAY: Winds are much lighter than the past few days. Expect mostly sunny skies, but it's still unseasonably cool, high 39.



SATURDAY: Clouds increase throughout the day. It's still chilly, high 41.



SUNDAY: Cloudy with showers developing at night, high 48.



MONDAY: Scattered showers and remaining mostly cloudy, high 52.



TUESDAY: Clouds break for some sun, high 57.
